The Churchland High School Marching Truckers Band provides a musical venue for the educational and cultural enrichment of our community's youth.

The Marching Truckers consists of young people with dedication, discipline and determination.

You must have VHSL Physical form completed. Physicals required for participation. Form is downloadable from here or at school. If you have not yet completed an athletic physical, please do so on the 11th.

• August 9-12, 9AM-1PM: Percussion and Color Guard Only.
• August 16-20, 9AM-4PM: All band members!!!!
• August 23-27, 9AM-4PM: All band members!!!!
• August 30-September 1, 2PM-6PM: All band members!!!!

• Saturday, October 2: USSBA Kempsville Classic
• Saturday, October 16: USSBA Southeastern Regional/Va Beach Sportsplex
• Saturday, October 23: USSBA Landstown High School
• Saturday, October 30: VBODA State Marching Festival/Warhill High School, Williamsburgh, Va (Morning)
• Saturday, October 30: USSBA Virginia State Championship/Glenn Allen High School, Richmond, Va (Evening)
• Friday, November 5: USSBA National Championship/Annapolis, Md (Overnight trip)
• Saturday, November 20, 7PM: Norfolk Grand Illumination Parade

From The Director ALL Churchland Band students are encouraged to purchase SMARTMUSIC software for $30. Information can be found by clicking on the link below and viewing the video: Smart Music To purchase, students will need to enter the following code: chstruckers Feel free to stop by the band office and see a "live" demonstration of the program.

Notice: Band dues are to be paid in full no later than September 1st, 2010. Total band dues are $175.00. These dues pay for instruction, transportation, equipment, color guard equipment and materials, uniform cleaning and maintenence, registration fees and other expenses that keep the marching band program running through the season. Marching Band is considered an extracurricular activity and receives NO FINANCIAL SUPPORT from the city. We rely on dues, fund raisers, and money earned from concessions to support the program.
